We are proud to say that we are one of the very few brands that do not source cashmere commercially.
We source the finest Mongolian cashmere from a family farm in Mongolia. Batu Jegu farm is a fourth-generation family business raising cashmere goats. They are the warmest people you’ll ever meet, and have been carrying on the legacy of producing the finest cashmere for 40+ years!
Our cashmere goats are a part of the family, in the same way people usually think about dogs and cats! They are free to roam around the farm, mingle with other animals, and eat as they please.
We personally hand-comb their hairs in mid and late spring to weave out Mongolian cashmere - and our furry friends absolutely love the pampering!
As Niall FitzGerald says: Sustainability is here to stay…or we may not be. This is why reducing our carbon footprint is no longer a trend or fad - It’s become a survival mechanism if we want our planet to be livable for future generations (Otherwise, there’s always Mars!)
Jokes aside, we as a small business are doing our best to reduce our carbon footprint - Here are some of our sustainable practices:
• Zero Use of bleach in our manufacturing process. That’s why we have the off-white scarf instead of the pure white one.
• The elimination of APEO’s (ALKYLPHENOL ETHOXYLATES) in the washing and cleaning process.
People are at the heart of everything we do! We strongly believe in equal opportunity for all, which is why we try to employ people from all walks of life. Young mothers form a large section of our employee base. We understand how hard it is to leave their babies alone for long hours, which is why we offer a flexible working system for young mamas so that they can care for their little ones in the best way possible.
But it doesn’t end here: Our salaries are also 10% higher than the average industry standard!
